Privacy policy SEW-EURODRIVE Foundation

The SEW-EURODRIVE Foundation appreciates you visiting our website. The privacy and protection of your personal data is important to us. We therefore process your personal data by taking the applicable data protection regulations into account, in particular the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, BDSG, TTDSG).

In the following, we inform you whether and how we process personal data when you visit our website and interact with us. If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact us at

kontakt@sew-eurodrive-stiftung.de.

The responsible party according to Art. 4 No. 7 DSGVO is SEW-EURODRIVE-Stiftung, Ernst-Blickle-Str. 42, 76646 Bruchsal, Germany, Tel. 07251 75-0, Fax 07251 75-501021, E-mail kontakt@sew-eurodrive-stiftung.de. If you have any questions about the processing of your personal data by us or about data protection in general, please contact us at the above address or by e-mail at kontakt@sew-eurodrive-stiftung.de.

I. Definition of personal data

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name, contact details, telephone number, IP address or email address.

II. data protection information on data processing when visiting the website

1. Processing of data when calling up the website

When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider and the like. In addition, the IP address is transmitted and used to provide the service you requested. This information is technically necessary in order to correctly deliver website content requested by you and is mandatory when using the Internet. This log file data is anonymized or deleted by us immediately. The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 letter f DSGVO.

2 Technical and Organizational Measures (TOM)

We ensure with our technical and organizational measures (e.g. SSL encryption of the website) that the personal data we process is protected against access by third parties, loss or misuse and secure data transfers are guaranteed. We are also ISO 27001 certified.

We must point out that, due to the structure of the Internet, unintentional access to data by third parties may occur. It is therefore also your responsibility to protect your data against misuse by encrypting it or in any other way. Without appropriate protective measures, unencrypted data in particular, even by e-mail, can be read by criminal third parties.

3. cookies

a) Information on the use of technical aids (in particular cookies)

Our website uses technical aids for various functions, in particular so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your terminal device and saved by your browser. They serve to make our offers more user-friendly, effective and secure. We use both so-called temporary cookies, which are automatically deleted when you close your browser ("session cookies"), and persistent (permanent) cookies.

When you call up our website (or use the apps) and at any time later, you have the choice of whether you want to allow the setting of cookies or individual additional functions. You can make changes in your browser settings or via our Consent Manager. If you reject functions or cookies, it is possible that you will not be able to fully use our offer.

In the use of cookies, we distinguish between the mandatory cookies (for display and operation of the website) and cookies for more extensive purposes such as anonymous measurement of access figures (functional cookies) and marketing cookies (advertising purposes, display of relevant and personalized content). Below we present the different processing purposes and concretely used services and describe the data processing that takes place.

b) Mandatory functions and cookies when using the website/apps.

We use functions that are mandatory for the use of our website. These include so-called session cookies, which enable us to recognize you while you are visiting the site as part of a single session. These session cookies contribute to the secure use of our offer. These functions can be seen in the cookie consent tool. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence. 1 letter f DSGVO.

c) Use of functions to record usage behavior (tracking) with the option to object:

The use of tracking functions, which collect information primarily by means of cookies, enables us to analyze the use of our website and thereby improve it. To do this, we can either use usage statistics (anonymous results). This allows us to record and coherently analyze accesses to our website.

Specifically, the following tracking functions are used:

(1) Creation of usage statistics via etracker.

On this website, services of etracker GmbH from Hamburg, Germany ( www.etracker.com) are used to analyze usage data. In principle, cookies are used that enable a statistical analysis of the use of this website by its visitors and the display of usage-related content or advertising etracker cookies do not contain any information that enables the identification of a user. In addition, we may also use the etracker variant without cookies, in which we perform the data processing described here to a lesser extent.

The data thus generated is processed on our behalf by etracker exclusively in Germany according to our specifications and is thus subject to the strict German and European data protection laws and standards. Etracker does not carry out any data processing for its own purposes and has been independently audited with regard to compliance with EU data protection standards, certified and awarded the ePrivacyseal data protection seal of approval.

Data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 letter f DSGVO. Our concern in terms of the DSGVO (legitimate interest) is to analyze the use of our website and to obtain statistics on website use in order to be able to ensure the regular optimization of our online offer and our web presence, so that our website can be designed to be more interesting for you as a user. Since the privacy of our visitors is important to us, data that may allow a reference to an individual person, such as the IP address, login or device identifiers, are anonymized as soon as possible. No other processing or merging with other data from etracker or disclosure to third parties takes place.

You can object to the data processing described here at any time, insofar as it is personal:

I object to data processing by etracker on this website here.

Further information on data protection at etracker can be found here.

4. use of external links

Our website contains links to websites of other providers. The SEW-EURODRIVE Foundation is not responsible for the data protection policies or the content of these other websites.

III. data protection information on data processing in the context of our correspondence

If you call us, contact us by mail, e-mail or other analog or digital means, we collect the information and data you provide in order to process your request. The data will be deleted as soon as and insofar as your request has been dealt with, unless legal retention obligations prevent deletion. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f DSGVO.

IV. Data protection information on the production and publication of image, sound and film/video recordings in the context of events and award ceremonies

If you participate in one of our events, such as award ceremonies, we may make image, sound and film recordings of the event's events and the participants in order to record and document the experiences and impressions of the event for the participants and us.

These can be targeted individual and group recordings of you and / or your relatives, or recordings in which you are not specifically the focus of the recordings, but are "incidental" to the recordings.

In the aftermath of an event, these shots may be used by us, for example, as follows:

Publication of individual/group photos in the local press and internal media.

Publication of photographs on the SEW-EURODRIVE Foundation website www.sew-eurodrive-stiftung.de

Creation and issue of an Impressions USB stick with all photographs as a memento for the award winners including personal guests, for all study award winners, for the attending guests of honor and for the management team

If you or your relatives are the focus of individual and group photos, we will obtain your consent beforehand. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) DSGVO. If you are one person among many in the photograph, i.e. you are not specifically the focus of the photograph, then the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our interest lies in the continuation of our foundation tradition and the public presentation of the SEW-EURODRIVE Foundation.

If the recordings are based on your consent, we will delete the recordings if you revoke your consent pursuant to Art. 7 (3) DSGVO. If you are not the focus of the recordings, i.e. if the processing is not based on your consent, we will delete the recordings if you object to the publication of the recordings pursuant to Art. 21 DSGVO.

If the deletion of the recordings is technically, organizationally or economically unreasonable for us, e.g. because you are shown in a photo with several people, we will try to pixelate your image on this recording.

We would like to point out that, in principle, all people worldwide can visit our foundation website, i.e. even if we delete the images from our website, it is possible that somewhere in the world (unpixeled) "copies" of the images still exist.
